Opioid Overdose Prevention Coordinator

Chatham County Public Health Department – Pittsboro, NC

The Opioid Overdose Prevention Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the implementation and evaluation of the county’s Coordinated Overdose Prevention Action Plan in collaboration with the Sheriff’s Prevention Partnership on Controlled Substances (SPPCS). The coordinator also leads Chatham Drug Free, a non-profit coalition and the Prevention Subcommittee of the SPPCS. The coordinator is responsible for managing the Opioid Settlement Fund, including ensuring all reporting requirements are met, and pursuing additional resources to advance this work, such as through grant writing and identifying new strategic partnerships.

Western Regional Associate Director

The Western Regional Associate Director for the Partners in Health and Wholeness (PHW) initiative will join a dedicated team of professionals working directly with faith communities and health-related resource partners by serving in a geographically defined area in North Carolina, coordinating with all PHW staff on a statewide effort to improve the health of clergy, congregants, and communities. The Associate Director will also share his or her particular area of expertise, e.g., mental health or healthy aging, with the entire Council staff and seek to integrate this work into the priorities of the Council across North Carolina.
