Liz Stokes, a transgender woman, attended the House Health Committee meeting on Tuesday, June 20, but was unable to give public comment in opposition to Senate Bill 631 as only one speaker for and against the legislation was permitted. Stokes and others have been frustrated by the lack of time allowed for public comment on bills that could have serious implications.
