MedicaidExpansion_RuralMap

Shows a map of North Carolina with about 20 counties colored darker to indicate those places where rates of uninsurance is higher. Many residents in these counties would benefit from Medicaid expansion.

According to Patrick Woodie, head of the NC Rural Center, most of the counties with the highest rates of uninsurance are in rural areas. Some counties have more than 20 percent of their residents without a way to pay for their health care. Map courtesy NC Rural Center.
